Many installation problems come from coordination that happens too late. A few simple habits can remove a large share of them.
Penetrations through the building
Settle the position and size of penetrations before building elements that are hard to alter later are completed.
Review routes together
Check pipe, duct and cable routes on one shared drawing so clashes are found before installation.
Equipment delivery timing
Large equipment must arrive before its access route is closed. Record this in the construction programme.
Regular meetings and change records
A short, regular meeting between contractors and a written record of every change prevents later confusion.
